Never Settle Podcast - Ep. 18

We recently had a reality check on our Perspective and realized that we had drifted from some of the original excitement and joy that we had when we started Never Settle. We were also soul searching together and looking for the next big thing that we should chase as a team to help drive a renewed passion level. But as we prayed about it and asked YHWH for His wisdom and vision He met us with a surprising answer: it wasn't our circumstances that needed to change - it was our perspective. And we're discovering that by changing our perspective it's naturally changing our circumstances. In this podcast we unpack some details from this part of our journey and explore the power of perspective and hope. We also look at examples of twisted perspective and how the enemy tries to steal our hope by feeding us lies.

We referenced the following encouraging and relevant passages:

Hebrews 13:5-6 (ISR)

Let your way of life be without the love of silver, and be satisfied with what you have. For He Himself has said, “I shall never leave you nor forsake you,” so that we body say, “Yahweh is my helper, I shall not fear what man shall do to me."

2 Cor. 4:18 (ISR)

We are not looking on what is seen, but on what is not seen. For what is seen passes away, but what is not seen is everlasting.

(NASB)

while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Proverb 30:7-9 (ISR)

Two matters I have asked of You – Deny them not to me before I die: Remove falsehood and a lying word far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me my portion of bread; Lest I become satisfied and deny You , And say, “Who is יהוה?” And lest I be poor, and steal, And seize the Name of my Elohim.

Philippians 4:12

I know what it is to be humbled, and I know what it is to have in excess. In any and every situation I have learned both to be filled, and to be hungry, both to have in excess, and to be in need.[
